    Day 01:  Arrival Houeixay – Luang Namtha – 174km – 3 hours (B)

    Arrive in Houeixay and travel north to Luang Namtha, a culturally rich region near the Chinese and Burmese borders. Enjoy scenic views and insights into the area’s diverse ethnic communities along the way.

    Day 02:   Luang Namtha – Mouang Sing – 64km – 1,5 hours (B)

    After breakfast, travel to Mouang Sing, the former capital of the “Lu” principality. En route, stop at ethnic minority villages including Ban Lak Khammai, Ban Kolakham, and Ban Thin That before reaching Muang Sing and its scenic surroundings.

    Day 03:   Mouang Sing (B)

    After breakfast, visit the lively Mouang Sing morning market near the China and Burma borders, a vibrant hub where hill tribes trade goods and share news. Then explore nearby ethnic minority villages—including Yao, Akha, and Lanten—by minibus and on foot. Return to the hotel by day’s end.

    Day 04:   Mouang Sing – Luang Namtha – Oudomxay – 201 km – 4,5 hours (B)

    After breakfast, journey south to Oudomxay province, home to diverse ethnic groups including Lao Houei, Yao, Lanten, and Hmong. Pass through traditional villages like Ban Na Teui, Namor, and Ban Tawan before arriving in Muang Xay, the provincial capital, where you’ll transfer to your hotel.

    Day 05:   Muang Xay – Mouang La – Mouang Khoua – 126km – 2,5 hours (B)

    After breakfast, drive to Mouang Khoua via Muang La, a remote town nestled in lush forested mountains. Arriving in Mouang Khoua, a small village surrounded by the stunning Nam Ou Valley landscape, offers a truly tranquil and scenic experience.

    Day 06:   Mouang Khoua – Nong Khiow – Pak Ou caves – Luang Prabang. (B)

    After breakfast, enjoy a scenic boat trip to Nong Khaiw, followed by a drive to the World Heritage town of Luang Prabang. En route, visit the ancient Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues, and stop at Ban Xang Hai, known as the Whisky Village. Arrive in Luang Prabang in the afternoon, check in to your hotel, and enjoy a free evening to explore or relax.

    Day 07:  Luang Prabang – Visite de la ville (B)

    Start early with the traditional Alms Giving ceremony. After breakfast, visit Luang Prabang’s key sites: Royal Palace Museum, Wat Xiengthong, Wat Visoun, and Wat Sene. Explore nearby weaving villages before visiting the Arts and Ethnology Centre. Finish with a sunset view from Mount Phousi and browse the vibrant Night Market, famous for local handicrafts.

    Day 08: Luang Prabang – Chutes de Kouangsi (B)

    This morning, visit Phousi Market to experience local life and products. Then, enjoy a refreshing swim at Khouangsi Waterfall and explore the Bear Sanctuary. On the return, visit Ban Tha Pan (Kamu people), Ban Ou (Lao Loum), and Ban Na Ouane (Hmong tribe) villages. End the day in Ban Phanom, known for hand weaving.

    In the evening, take the high-speed train from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng. Transfer to your hotel upon arrival.

    Day 09: Vang Vieng – Cyling Loop (B,L)

    Start cycling from Vang Vieng, passing rice paddies to reach Silver Flower Cave to explore its stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Continue along the valley to stop at Red Cliff for photos. Then, relax and swim at Blue Lagoon before cycling back to Vang Vieng to catch the sunset.

    Day 10 Vang Vieng – Vientiane (B)

    Morning market visit, then boat cruise on Nam Song River to explore historic Tham Jang Cave. Afternoon high-speed train to Vientiane (14:45–15:45). Transfer to hotel and visit shopping district. Evening free to enjoy the riverfront, Night Market, and local nightlife. 

    Day 11 Vientiane (B)

    This morning visit Wat Sisaket, Wat Prakeo, That Luang Stupa, and Patuxay Monument. In the afternoon, explore Buddha Park with its unique sculptures. Evening free to enjoy the Night Market and local dining. Overnight in Vientiane.

    Day 12: Vientiane – Pakse – Tad Lo

    This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Pakse. Upon arrival, head to the cool Bolevan Plateau, famous for its waterfalls. Visit Tad Fan’s impressive twin falls and Tad Ngeuan’s pristine pools with a coffee plantation stop to taste real Lao coffee. See the rich farmland growing coffee, tea, cardamom, and bananas before arriving at Tad Lo. Explore local Alak, Nge, and Katu villages, then check in for overnight in Tad Lo.

    Day 13: Tad Lo – Champassack – Khong Islands 

    After breakfast, we travel to Champasak and visit the mountaintop ruins of Wat Phu. Then, continue to Don Khong, the largest island in the beautiful 4000 Islands region.

    Day 14: Khong Island – Khone Island 

    After breakfast, we cruise by long-tail boat through the 4000 Islands to Done Khone. After hotel check-in, explore Ban Khone’s French colonial houses and the first Lao railway. Visit the stunning Liphi Waterfall, marking the border between Laos and Cambodia.

    Day 15: Khone Island  – Khone Phapheng waterfall – Lao/Cambodia border (Dong Kalor)

    This morning, we take a local boat to Ban Nakasung, then drive to the Laos-Cambodia border. Along the way, we visit Khone Phapheng Waterfall, Southeast Asia’s largest and known as the Niagara of the East. The trip ends with transfer to the Veukham or Dong Kalor border crossing.

    Trip Notes:

    – Travelers are highly recommended to purchase Travel Insurance upon commitment of the booking in case of force majeure. Travel Insurance covers such costs as emergency and medical evacuation, hospital fees, property loss, etc. which could possibly happen during the trip.

    – Rooms at hotels are available only from 1400 on arrival day till 1200 on departure date. A supplement will be added if early check-in or late check-out is desired.

    – The itinerary may subject to change depending on weather conditions and the local situation.

    – Reservations during peak times such as Christmas, New Year, Vietnamese Lunar New Year, National Holidays may be subject to supplementary charges.

    – If any proposed service is not available at the time of booking, we will try to find alternative and similar option and minimize changes to the program.

    – Vietnam Travel and Cruise is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time. Additional expenses incurred due to delays, accidents, natural disaster, political actions and unrest, must be covered by the clients.  Vietnam Travel and Cruise will make every effort to recoup any losses from the service providers.

    – A Deposit of AUD$300 per person is required upon confirmation of your booking. This deposit is non-refundable.

    – The balance is due 30 days prior to departure. If you fail to pay by the due date we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.

    If you make a booking less than 30 days prior to departure, full payment is due within 48 hours.

    Cancellation: Any cancellations must be made in witting.

    – Cancellation fees apply to all cancelled reservations. The fee is determined by the date written cancellation received by Vietnam Travel and Cruise.

    – Cancellation more than 30 days – Loss of deposit

    – Cancellation at 30 or less days – 100% of total booking cost

    Claims and refunds for unused services

    No refunds or exchanges can be made in respect of accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services, which are included in the tour prices but not utilized by the client.
